dosent show up today. i first asked him if the $70/h all included, transportation, etc. he replied yes. so i declined tons of other companies and chose him. he then said there is 70 flat rate for transportation, i am upset but still think its acceptable though it is about the same price like other professional moving companies since every company i asked for quote did this. we both agreed on a $20 discount so 3hrs 2 people a trunk. $260 in total. last night he called saying due to a loss of his family he cannot make this. I really have no expectation on this. i could find no one to do this at this very last second. Especially, he mentioned also the price is not good. I really felt angry, i wont complain if he only said he cannot make it because of the loss of someone. but he also said that the price is not acceptable which we both agreed on days ago, so i really felt its not professional and not responsible. its a company not a mover on craglist so it wont affect much by personal things. moreover, he told in last minute the agreed price is not good at the same time. finally i booked with the 'lastminutes mover' which costs huge above this price. i will never choose this company again and I even want to be careful using Thumbtack. it not cheap at all.

I moved from 1 apartment to another about a mile away. Ryan and his partner were very professional and friendly and the move went very smoothly. About he only thing I could fault them for is that they didn't have pads to wrap around the furniture to protect it, but that being said none of my furniture was damaged in the move either.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I sub contract through uhaul truck rental services, so I will price out the truck through them and come up with a follow up labor service cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In moving there is always more to learn, going out and learning hands on is how I do it.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm a 3rd generation mover! I grew up going to work with my father and moving pianos and furniture, Ive spent my whole life learning the trade and still learning as I go! I love what I do and love helping people.
