I’m Rod Gregoire, owner of Merrimack Valley Wi-Fi Pros. With over 30 years in computer networking, I saw too many homeowners stuck in Wi-Fi trial and error — upgrading speed, swapping routers, adding mesh systems — and still dealing with dead zones and dropped connections. Merrimack Valley Wifi was terrific. The two gentleman that came to work on the house or efficient, quiet gracious and did everything. They said they would do. It was a big project for a big house and they communicate well with me at all times I wish I could pick more adjectives to describe it

We had some major Wifi issues in our house that became a huge problem when working from home. Rod came in and did a survey and made it very clear where we were lacking and what we could do to improve the situation. He also came prepared with the neccesary equipment to impliment the wifi improvement plan same day. We now have no dead zones and can work from home with confidence that we will have reliable internet in every room. If you are having issues with your wifi at home, call Rod, it was worth the investment.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge a service charge and for time and materials.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we discuss the project on the phone for free, what problems they are having, what is the size and type of their home, if there are any special features of the home (e.g. radiant heat flooring, interior chimney, etc.), how many people and devices in the home, and what their goal is. From that info I give them an estimate with a range of how much time I think will be required to figure out the problem and then implement a solution. If I think that there will be equipment involved I give them an estimate of the cost for that as well. Then we figure out a good day and time for me to come to their house and make their Wi-Fi work great!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked in software engineering for high-speed computer networking equipment for decades. I have a very good understanding of computer networking and the underlying technologies in Wi-Fi. I am a natural problem solver with degrees in computer science and mathematics.
