FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee is $100/hr. with a 2-hour minimum + Travel fee in some cases, and during the busy Christmas/New Year's season, (Nov. 30th-Jan. 30th)there is a 20% increase in hourly rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with a new client is to introduce myself and my background as well as the procedure of caricature entertainment and the details of the caricature process. Clients are generally most interested in how long each rendering takes to complete and I compare black and white ( 3-5mins./person)and color (6-8 mins./person), bodies or merely head and shoulders. Naturally, clients are concerned about having as many guests drawn as possible, so we caricaturists favor black and white head and shoulders (although I personally enjoy drawing the classic caricature with a full body engaged in the subjects favorite activity). When the event is a considerably large gathering, I suggest more than one artist, which I can provide through my company. The subject of "feeding the artist" often comes up, so my policy is a request for a provided meal or simply access to food at events 3 hours or longer. Throughout this "Getting to know You") Caricaturist Info process, the primary concern is to provide thorough answers to client questions and concerns. My goal is now and always has been throughout my career: Customer Satisfaction and Delight with the services provided by RICH PARSONS ILLUSTRATION.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
