FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started with sports photography, mainly taking pictures of my kids, their teams, etc. As I got more into the photography, so did my investment in equipment and training. I began taking portraits and doing holiday card promotions and things took off from there. There is a lot of enjoyment in taking pictures, meeting new families and working through the creative process.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
One of the most common jobs I do is Family portraits, and specifically portraits for Christmas and Holiday cards. This is a service I started offering a few years ago, and it's become very popular! Instead of you trying to get that family picture for the Christmas/Holiday card, I do it for you and take the stress out of that one piece of the holidays.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was commissioned to take a picture of a hand carved scene of a castle (made of various types of wood inlays). The project was challenging, but the results were amazing. The client had been trying to photograph and print a life sized replica of the item (approx 30" x 40") with no success. It was challenging to shoot because of the material it was made of, but the final product was dazzling, they were very happy!
