Hello Alexandra, We are saddened by your isolated and unusual experience. At Drain-A-Max -as the name implies- we are primarily a drain and sewer cleaning company with an associated plumber for new installations and repairs. Your toilet had a leak at the base where it connects to the flange. To remedy the issue, our technician augered it with an extendable drop-head auger, replaced and resealed the base to the flange using a brand new wax ring, and also checked the supply line and toilet tank for leaks and/or malfunctions. We also checked the flange for any wobbling that may cause a leak. After performing the job there were no more leaks and the base of the toilet remained dry. The toilet was tested in your presence and you seemed satisfied with the performance. This lead to your initial five-star review and glowing praises. Our technician promptly came back to the job upon your second request and checked for leaks again. The technician then snaked the drain line (to clear it from a possible blockage) and re-sealed the toilet bowl to the flange with a horned wax ring and brand new johnny bolts. There were no leaks after the second visit as evidenced by the numerous pictures taken after the job was completed. There were no leaks while the toilet was being tested in your presence either.
