About
Marinilli Adjusters has been family-owned and operated through two generations. The company originated by its founder Dominic Marinilli and continued to grow the business with his sons Jack Marinilli & Peter Marinilli who are currently moving forward with the proud family tradition. With decades of experience, our firm has helped thousands of clients throughout Massachusetts & New England. We are licensed in MA, RI, NH, ME and are members of the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters & the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
What is a Public Adjuster?
If you’ve never had a major insurance claim before, it is likely you are not familiar with our profession. A Public Adjuster is professional claims handler who advocates for the policyholder in appraising & negotiating insurance losses. They legally represent the rights of the property owner not the insurance company. Public Adjusters must be licensed by each state they work in after passing a strict examination administered by the Division of Insurance. The exam requires a comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies, first party claims procedures and construction costs.

I am a disabled veteran and my basement was damaged by water. The insurance company had the basement demolished and removed. I called Peter Marinilli of Marinilli Adjusters he inspected my damage and worked with the insurance adjusters to make my basement fully rebuilt and my life is getting back to normal. Without Peters hard work and diligence I would not have received the settlement amount he negotiated by myself to properly repair my damaged home. Marinilli Adjusters are highly recommended by me to anyone who has damage to their property. This is a hard thing to go through alone, I'm so pleased with the service I received from Peter. I'm glad they were there for me every step of the way. Victor B

They did exactly what they said and worked very hard to get all the money my policy insured me for. People don't realize that insurance companies always try to depreciate your home and give you less money than your insured for. It's worth paying an adjuster like these guys because they know how to negotiate and fight for you. Trust me...its the best money you'll ever spend and it gets paid after the insurance settlement. Thanks guys for all your help. I NEVER thought I would lose a building like I did. Thank God ! I had you.

Working with Marinilli Adjusters Inc was great. They worked extremely hard on my case to get me what I needed. They always made sure to check in to keep me updated on what was going on. I truly appreciate the time and effort they put in.

Peter is always available to answer any question. He instituted processes to negotiate for a fair settlement with the insurance adjuster assessments being able to provide for concrete evidence to moderate insurance adjuster assessments.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With a Public Adjuster, there are no fees or upfront costs until we receive an agreed settlement from the insurance company. We charge up to 10% of the claim which is regulated by the Division of Insurance. We believe everyone should have quality representation. That’s why we work on a contingency-fee basis, which means you only pay us when all parties are made whole. Please reach out for a risk free inspection & consultation
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we find out the details of the loss and determine if it's a covered claim with the insurance company. From there we will schedule a time with insured to inspect the damages. If hired, we will file the claim and meet with the insurance company's representative to determine a scope of work and/or a plan of action. Once the insurance company accepts liability we will start putting a together a detailed estimate of both the building & contents damages for negotiating purposes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Public Adjusters must be licensed by each state they work in after passing a strict examination administered by the Division of Insurance. The exam requires a comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies, first party claims procedures and construction costs. To maintain a Public Adjuster license the state requires 15-hours of approved continuing education credits for every 3-year term.
