We just bought a house and I wanted to get the chimney attached to the wood stove cleaned before any usage. From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience. Communication was always quick, professional, and honest which I really appreciated. On the scheduled day, he was here in the time slot identified and it was clear the pride and knowledge that he has. He explained what he was doing and why. Showed me parts of the stove and during the entire appointment, went above and beyond to not only do high quality work, but also to make sure I understood what he was doing and why - and how to use my stove safely and well. I had a couple additional questions which he was able to answer immediately. His knowledge, professionalism, and amazing results have ensured that I will continue to use The Duke’s.

We had an outstanding experience with The Duke's Chimney Sweeps. John was courteous, professional, and did a thorough job cleaning the fireplace and chimney and repairing the damper. He did an inspection of the chimney and found further repairs that needed to be done (mortar, flashing, chimney cap). We had never had any work done on the chimney, so we were not surprised (the house is 35 years old). We have hired the company to come back and do the repairs. The office is extremely professional as well and is very timely with sceduling, following up, and providing estimates.

They did a great job with my fireplace repair. The technician showed up on time and was very responsive to all of my questions. He cleaned the chimney and then gave me an estimate for my repair. He made sure everything was cleaned up. He knew I had cats and so before he turned on the vacuum cleaner he checked with me first to make sure he wouldn’t scare them. I was able to promptly schedule the follow up appointment for the repair. He showed up on time, completed the job, and even added in a free dryer vent cleaning. When he saw that my dryer hose was loose, he let me know and then proceeded to go ahead and fix it. I would not hesitate to hire them again!

I am very pleased with the work John did to fix my chimney. I only wanted to get the 2 chimney flues capped, but I did not realize the condition that my chimney was in. The chimney had to be repointed, the crown rebuilt, the top of the flue tiles replaced and then the flues could be capped so that they would function correctly. I recommend the Duke's Chimney Sweeps service to everybody whose chimney needs help. Their price was fair/good. You can see the pride John takes with his work.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We take pride in offering prices that are about 20% cheaper then any of our competition.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Asking questions about their project, going over specific details of the property, setting up a sweep and inspection. We like to do a sweep before an inspection to ensure its properly cleaned so we dont miss anything during the inspection. If a chimney isn't properly cleaned it can hide defects in the chimney that might not be visible due to the chimney not being clean.
