Josh was amazing! He is incredibly talented and made my husband’s 50th birthday party festive and fun. Our guests loved him and many commented on his skills and his set list. He was so responsive, and extremely easy to work with. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent musician and singer who can play for an audience with mixed music tastes.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Josh. He created an amazing experience for our outdoor event. A surprise 60th. He played her favorite song as she arrived. Everyone there commented not only his great range of genres but couldn’t wait to hire him for more occasions.

This is definitely a long overdue review (the past few months have been especially hectic), but I needed to circle back around and give Josh Tobias a proper response. Quite simply, he made my proposal to my long-time girlfriend absolutely amazing. At first when I reached out to Josh, I was a little unsure if it would be a strange kind of gig--as my proposal was in a public space and I was looking for someone who could pose as a "street performer." However, Josh never once made it seem like it wasn't worth his time and worked with me on ideas up until the day of the proposal--even learning the song I had suggested. He was super responsive and willing to accommodate any little last-minute alterations to the plan. As for the day of the proposal (in my fiancée's words) he "made us feel like we were in our own little bubble...as if time stopped for us," playing "La Vie En Rose" in the background. I cannot thank Josh Tobias enough for making the whole experience so special and memorable. I highly highly recommend, and, again, thank you Josh!

I charge a flat hourly rate of $150.00 This is well below the standard rate for other musicians in this area. I have my own sound system and transportation!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will ask a new customer for song requests and preferred music genres, then confirm the date of the event and we are all set!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in numerous bands over the years and have hundreds of paid gigs under my belt.
