As pre marriage counselor I did not feel that the objective was to see us stay together and get married. Never asked about our relationship or how long we been together just basically stated that if one couldn't deal then the other should leave. Our problem was nothing warranting leaving just needed a professional medium to help us come to terms or dealing with our small issue. Too many broken homes and nowadays ppl are so easy to give up. Due to confidentiality rules I cannot respond to statements made by people who may have been my clients or even confirm whether someone was my client. However, I'd like to comment on some points here. First, it is true that my objective in general is not to see people stay together; it is to help people achieve their own goals, whether that is to stay together, split up, or figure out which option is best for them. I am here to help my clients get what they want, not tell them what they should want. Second, anyone who thinks I told them to leave a relationship must have misunderstood me - I don't tell people whether they should or should not leave a relationship. I help them decide for themselves what works best for them. If my approach to counseling couples was just to tell them to deal with their problems or split up, I would have been out of business long ago! There are many reasons a client may be unhappy with a counseling experience, some of which relate to the counselor and some of which relate to the client themselves. Clearly, the majority of my reviewers feel I have been helpful to them as a counselor. If anyone is unsatisfied with their experience with me I encourage them to contact me directly to see how we can address the problem.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to keep fees affordable so people can get the help they need. If finances are an issue, please let me know - I'll work with you as best I can. Please note that we cannot bill insurance for marriage or relationship counseling - they tell us that they are only paying for medical issues, and they don't consider relationship problems to be a medical issue.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?It's very easy to get started - let me know when you want to come in and I'll find you a time that works! I have very flexible scheduling, and along with a team of other therapists there is hardly a time slot we can't accommodate. When setting up a first session we take a payment at the time of booking in order to reserve the time. This payment is 100% refundable up to 24 hours before the session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a master's degree in social work and I participate in relevant continuing education on an ongoing basis.
