What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to pricing for my services for lawn care, my absolute minimum is $50.00. Otherwise, the cost of my services works out around/between $40-$50 per hour. (I work continuously until the job is complete).
The height and thickness of your grass/lawn as well as the amount trimming (side walks, fences, gates, walls, plant/flower beds, etc.), and whether you would like the grass trimmings blown, raked and removed are key factors in the quote and cost of your lawn care/property services. Trimming of hedges or bushes is also an additional cost. Difficulties and obstructions to enter, exit or maneuver around your property also plays a factor in your quote or lawn care services.
Grass and weeds that are 8 inches or taller requires double the work for a non-commercial (smaller) lawn mower for residential properties, whereas a stand-on or ride-on (large) lawn mower cannot access the premises and cannot be used.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with customers for the first time, all I ask of them is to send me up-to-date photos of their property along with a clear and concise description of what they would like done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over a decade of experience when it comes to junk removal, basic landscaping and lawn care services. Education wise, I am an outdoorsman and animal lover, possessing my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Animal Behavior/Sciences from Towson University. I am also a licensed Maryland real estate agent, so understanding curb appeal comes naturally when looking to rent/lease, buy, or sell a house.
