ARTIS is a family-owned luxury custom woodworking and fine cabinetry business. Owner and master craftsman Luke Agnew received his formal woodworking and carpentry education at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. He received his training from some the best craftsmen, designers, and furniture makers in the United States and the U.K. Over the course of the last 10 years, Luke has also apprenticed with Donegal Millworks, Cabinet Makeovers, and with a furniture maker and restorer. His training includes a vast array of joinery techniques, case piece construction, veneering, curvature, and CNC router technology. We design and build high-end: -home libraries -home offices -entertainment centers -fireplace mantels -mudrooms -walk-in closets -built-in dining room hutches -laundry rooms -kids’ room built-ins -window seating -wainscoting and wall flourishes -ecclesiastical work -and other custom luxury built-ins. I reached out to this company about custom cabinetry and shelving in my wall nooks. Initially no response so I followed up to simply ask if they were too busy or if the job was too small then I received a response asking for pictures and/or measurements of the space. I sent pictures on 4 Feb and have received no response. The fact that I asked in my follow up if the contractor was too busy or if the job was too small could have elicited an affirmative response instead they asked for additional detail and then neglected to respond. I could’ve understood a “we are too busy for this job” or “the job is too small” or simply a “we cannot assist” but to say nothing at all to a potential customer says a lot to me.

Luke responded to my request for a quote for his services. He came to my house and took the measurements for custom shelves for my pantry. 2 weeks later I have a stunning pantry. The shelves are massive and sturdy. They are absolutely beautiful!!!
