FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I attend conferences several times a year, including a recent 4-day conference for advocates.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a long-time lawyer, trained at Columbia Law School. One day I realized that I wasn't feeling fulfilled and that I could do something with my skill sets that would make more of a difference. I had already tutored in a number of my children's elementary school classes and loved it. I spent a year working at the Lab School with smart kids with learning disabilities. Loved it, so I went back to school and got a masters in learning disabilities. The rest is history.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Finding the best schools for a student who is not thriving in their current school; serving as a liaison between parents and schools; advocating for students with learning disabilities; tutoring math and reading comprehension, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
