Penn/Columbia Grad: Admissions Coach

Hi there, I'm Fatima! Over the past decade, I have worked with 300+ students on their admissions strategy and applications. My kids have gotten into the top schools in the country including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Penn, Cornell, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, U of Chicago, NYU, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and USC. Specializing in admissions to highly selective schools, I am well-versed in what elite universities look for in an applicant—leadership, impact, curiosity, and grit, amongst other things. These qualities (and more) can be demonstrated using the various pieces of the admissions puzzle. I assist you in navigating each of these pieces, including course selection, extracurriculars, college lists, testing strategy, your unique personal brand, and college essays. So no matter what stage of high school you're in, I can help you take your next steps. In fact, the earlier we start (I'm looking at you freshmen), the more pieces of the puzzle we can start building and piecing together, and the greater your chances of success. Time is our most precious resource. I help you figure out what’s essential and worth spending time on and what isn’t. As you go through high school, deciding how you will use your precious time is the single most important decision you can make. Once, I was exactly where you are, frazzled by the increasingly complex college admissions maze and the blinking cursor on a blank word document. After I figured this process out for myself (with almost no external support), I went on to major in Political Science at Penn, study investigative journalism at Columbia Journalism School, and write stories for major national outlets. Writing has always been my passion. My love for and decade-long experience in creative writing, journalism, and college counseling makes me the perfect partner to guide you in finding your authentic voice and story. We got this!
