FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The initial consult is at no cost - it is important that our services map to a prospective client’s needs. We are fee-only, not commissionable and serve as fiduciaries. Typically, a client pays a fee based on assets managed, however at times it works best for clients to pay hourly, retainer or a one time fee for a holistic plan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before engaging with a client, we have an initial meeting/consult to ensure we are a good fit. Once we establish a relationship, we gather as much financial information from our client as possible, ask the right questions and reach out to the client's trusted professionals. It is critical that we understand our client's risk tolerance, short- medium- and long-term goals and personal values. In most cases we consolidate our client's assets so that we can ensure the total portfolio is properly positioned. We deliver a "living" financial plan that is revisited formally semi-annually/as-needed and actively manage the investment portfolio to ensure it is positioned in line with our client's risk tolerance and the markets. Our intention is to ensure our clients feel secure about their financial well-being so they can "Live More, Worry Less".
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked for a some of the largest and most respected global financial services firms, and represented associations, mission based non-profits, families and individuals. I have been in the asset and wealth management industry for close to 25 years and completed MBA coursework at Johns Hopkins University and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation. In Wealth Management, experience is critical. Each challenging market and client situation force me to identify unique solutions and strategies for success - this makes me a better advisor. I never stop learning!
