Introduction
Bethesda Chimney is rated 5 Stars and we are Licensed, Bonded, and Insured. You can feel relaxed and secure knowing that the job will be completed worry free. We also use the latest tools and technology and are trained in the latest residential codes and fire safety. Bethesda Chimney was founded by Bryan W. on the sole purpose of providing quality work coupled with professionalism and reliability. Bryan grew up in Montgomery County Maryland and attended Bethesda Chevy-Chase High School. He then went onto college to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Between taking classes Bryan worked for years at a local chimney company. Bryan also worked for years at a prestigious, medium sized Home Improvement company where he became one of the companies leaders and Operations Manager. Being both computer savvy as well as hands-on with doing the actual labor in the field, Bryan decided to follow his American dream of starting his own business and running a company the way he believed a company should be ran. Bryan now strives to train his fellow employees at Bethesda Chimney to provide friendly and quality workmanship in a professional manor both here in the office as well as in the field and on or in your Home. Bethesda Chimney provides professional, reliable chimney cleanings, fireplace inspections, chimney relining, repairs, and more to residents of Maryland, DC, and Virginia. We also perform painting, power washing, acid washing, and waterproofing. Furthermore, we build and repair concrete, flagstone, or brick walkways, patios, fire pits, and more. We take great pride in our attention to detail and safety, staying up to date with regular training in the latest methods and technology both in the office and out in the field. Most importantly we strive to leave each customer satisfied with both the experience and the final product.

I dealt with Brian through the whole thing and he was awesome. Brian was very nice, showed up on time, explained everything very well and took care of the problem. It was stress-free and the price was good. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Anna, We are happy we could help. Please remember to have us back when you're ready to have your new chimney liner cleaned and inspected in order to validate the warranty per the manufacturer.

Bethesda uses an impersonal response and wanted $200 to simply come out, take a look and give an inspection, all which were not needed. As I already knew the issue and scope of work, they refused to come to give an estimate and simply continued to send automated responses over and over. I was able to find another, move client focused and receptive contractor on thumbtack and they did all the work after visiting the house for a very reasonable cost.

Details: Chimney repair • Gas-burning fireplace with no vents • Brick (most common) • Indoors • 51 - 100 years old • Three-story building

Bethesda Chimney's reply
At Bethesda Chimney we follow a stringent code of ethics and standard operating procedures in order to protect ourselves and our customers. If it is our first time entering your home, we need to do our due diligence and perform a complete full Level 2 chimney inspection which can take two of our CSIA certified technicians up to 3 hours to complete. That inspection includes checking all vented appliances in the home, checking all fireplaces in the home, sending a high powered camera up the chimney flues, inspecting inside the attic or crawl space of the home (if there is access), carefully getting on the roof and inspecting the chimney flashing, chimney chase, crown, cap, and much more. After everything is inspected our technicians compile it into a 2-3 page report with all of the photos and findings. Any items found unsatisfactory we would then provide a separate estimate for the repairs.
