Richard responded with a call/estimate within minutes of my post on Thumbtack and came to replace the broken spring of my garage opener same day at a time that was convenient for me. Quick and easy! He also warned me not to try opening the garage door after the spring broke (before he came) to prevent the opener motor from breaking. Very helpful. Garage door opener works now without issues.

He looked at the garage problem we had, and knew what he needed to do to fix it and he fixed it right on the stop and he also educated me about other problems that our garage is causing due to the type of garage that we have. Where do I start, Richard was simply fantastic! He came out same day, or should I say night, on a super chilly night in my dark alley in DC. I was impressed by his knowledge as he mentioned what it could be based on what details I had given him, and my “smart” garage door and app mentioned the things he said but I knew it was something more involved as I am handy and knew it was something worse. He spent the time to find the root cause and fixed it! I’ve had different folks come out over the years for what I thought was just a busted garage door, but he found the root cause and fixed it for good! It is working better than day 1, no exaggeration! He takes pride in his work and glad I came across him! You won’t be disappointed, he communicated everything and saved me a more than a more expensive repair that I’m confident other contractors would have steered me towards based on my complex issue. Saving his number for sure!
