DFK Planning was founded with the belief that every event should be a memorable experience. The vision is to create unique and innovative events that exceed our clients' expectation and leave a lasting impression. In June 2011, I started planning my first event which was a wedding that took place in August 2012. From then on, I have planned milestone birthdays, fundraising galas, celebration galas, and weddings. As a result, my experience with different cultures is vast. I am familiar with Jewish, Ethiopian, Nigerian, and African American wedding customs just to name a few. We cannot say enough amazing things about our day-of coordinator, Aggie! We brought her on just two weeks before our wedding, and from the very first conversation she completely put us at ease. She stepped in seamlessly, took charge of all the details, and handled everything with the kind of professionalism and calm presence that every couple hopes for. On the actual wedding day, she was an absolute rock star. Everything ran perfectly, every detail was exactly how we envisioned it, and we were able to fully enjoy ourselves without a single worry. She kept us in great spirits, smoothed out any little hiccups before we even knew they existed, and did it all with a warm, positive attitude. Aggie was wonderful to work with. She got to work with our vendors and coordinated all aspects of the wedding logistics. She helped to plan the moving the wedding party by boat. Hiring Aggie Chongo as our Wedding Day-Of Coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. What we expected to be “day-of” support turned into so much more. From the moment we hired her, Aggie went above and beyond. She created a detailed spreadsheet to track every aspect of our wedding and proactively reached out to our vendors, building relationships and managing communications with my husband and me. We truly felt like we had a partner in the process. Ahead of the wedding, Aggie met with us in person to walk through the space and understand our vision. She asked thoughtful questions and made sure every detail was accounted for. It was a micro-wedding with fewer than 25 guests, held in an intimate space that needed to be flipped from ceremony to dining room. Aggie handled the entire turnover flawlessly—coordinating timing, placing our cake, decorating the table, and ensuring every place setting was exactly as we envisioned. Walking back into the space was such a special moment. She also thoughtfully coordinated with my parents to serve as the day-of point of contact, which allowed me to be fully present and enjoy every moment without distraction.
