Jose and his team did an amazing job on my built-ins project. The absolute best feature of his service was his communication and reliability. He kept me apprised of the status of the project at every step (and he would call me - I never had to call him for an update!) and he and his team would arrive - on time! - every single day as expected. They were polite, very clean and respectful of my belongings and just enjoyable to work with. They were even lovely with my very curious kitten. My project turned out beautifully. Jose is meticulous and truly cares about the outcome of his projects. He had to do a lot of extra work to make sure the built-ins were plumb as the wall and ceiling in my unit were not level or even. The end result is perfection - exactly as I wanted them and made the space more usable for me and will be a great selling feature should I ever decide to leave. I'm thrilled with his work and would highly recommend JMV Home Improvement!

I love Jose and his team! I found his info on Thumbtack and was initially skeptical of all the stellar reviews. He made me a believer quickly. His company did wainscoting, re-stained my staircase and updated it with wrought iron work, hardwood floor refinishing, installed pendant and updated recessed lighting in my kitchen, replaced door handles and hinges all throughout my home, replaced storm door, hung pictures, replaced powder room fixtures, hung shelves, hung a valet rod and did drywall. He and his team are meticulous to detail and provide options. Their work is of the highest quality and they take pride in their work. They are true professionals. I could go on and on but just HIRE HIM! I have him on speed dial and he will get any future work that I want to do in my home.

Outstanding service. José arrived for our original appointment with vendors' books showing moulding options for window and door frames and baseboards. He listened to what we wanted to accomplish and recommended what we finally installed. The work was done quickly and professionally. Floors and furniture in all work areas were carefully protected, and were thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day. We were so pleased with the work on the trim that we asked him to install crown moulding in several rooms and to paint a majority of the rooms in the house. We were equally pleased with this work. The preparation and painting were excellent, and again the protection and cleanup of all the areas where they worked were great. Would not hesitate to hire José again, and would recommend his work to anyone looking for top-notch finish carpentry and painting. He was great with our dog who misses her new friend. Jose was flexible when we had a conflict. We are telling everyone we know about Jose. Call him, you will not be disappointed.

Jose was absolutely wonderful to work with. He and his guys put in around 300 linear feet of boards for our condo. He answered every question I had, explained all the options, had an accurate forecasts of how long the project would take, and his estimate was right on the money. Rather than cutting the 16 foot boards in half fit into the freight elevator, he walked the longer boards up the stairs. When I questioned him about this he said he does not like seams and wanted to minimize how many there were. They did a fabulous job cleaning up after each day of work, and they came up with creative solutions when problems arose due to curved walls and uneven floors. Hands down would hire him again for any project in the future.
