Introduction: Bradley Shepherd, is the owner and Managing Attorney of BSS Law, LLC which has offices in Catonsville and Columbia. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all the State and Federal Courts of Maryland. While attending the University of Baltimore School of Law, Bradley twice competed in the National Trial Competition. In addition to his studies, Bradley worked as a law clerk at Ward & Co., Chtd., a general practice law firm in Glen Burnie, MD. After being sworn in as a Maryland attorney, Bradley continued at Ward & Co. as an associate. There he successfully represented clients in the District, Circuit, and Federal Courts of Maryland in diverse fields of law, including personal injury, criminal defense, traffic, divorce, custody, probate, landlord-tenant, real estate, creditor’s rights, and debtor defense. While employed by Chason, Rosner, Leary & Marshall, LLC Bradley focused his practice on civil litigation, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle torts, premises liability, and personal injury. Bradley opened BSS Law, LLC so that he can give detailed and personalized attention to every client. Working as a solo practitioner ensures that his clients only work with him, and are never passed off onto someone less qualified. He handles criminal defense, traffic, peace and protective orders, personal injury, family law, estate planning, corporate formation and counseling, as well as landlord / tenant matters and general civil litigation. Due to his diverse background, Bradley is well suited to assist clients in just about any matter that they require help in. Bradley is frequently appointed by the State of Maryland to represent indigent clients at Initial Appearance Hearings where he argues for reasonable bail and release of recent arrestees. He also serves as a panel attorney for the Office of the Public Defender. Bradley and BSS Law, LLC partners with and works in an of counsel role to the Law Offices of Ali K, LLC. This mutually beneficial partnership allows both firms to better serve their clients. If you have a legal question that needs an attorney's attention, do not hesitate to call the above listed number at any time, day or night. Free 30 minute consultations. I get the most satisfaction out of helping my clients through a difficult time period of their lives. If you've been charged with a crime, are going through a divorce, or have been injured in an accident, chances are you're terrified of what might happen. The law is definitely complicated, and for that reason, most of my clients are very nervous about their future. My job is to take an otherwise difficult situation and explain the options in simple terms to my clients, and figure out how we can fix their problem. I've worked for larger firms in the past, and my work became too impersonal. I try to connect with each and every one of my clients so that I can really understand what they're going through. I started BSS Law, LLC so that I could do that everyday. If you need help, I'm here for you.

Brad is a very aggressive criminal defense attorney which you need on your side in a court battle to defend your innocence. On May 18, 2020, my spouse filed a protective order against me based on false accusations and even included made up evidence. Brad got me through the trying period by dialing up all available and useful resources to prove my innocence to the court. He spoke very eloquently & confidently, and also utilized the right defense arguments! He saved my innocence that day in court when the lies were exposed, resulting in the final protective order was denial. Though it took me a while since May to write this review, I never forgot that I needed to give back to the one who saved me. Thank you =)

From the moment you first talk to Brad, you get a sense that you will be in good hands. His easy going manner and attention to detail made it very effective in our use of time. He provided great explanation of what we would be covering as well as answered any and all questions that came up in our discussions. But the best part of doing business with Brad, was that you knew that he was going to give you the advice based on the letter of the law. I highly recommend him if you are considering any legal work in the future...thanks Brad for making it a pleasant process.

Family Law Attorney

Mr. Shepherd is great! Extremely accommodating. I contacted him way after business hours and he got back to me right away, said I could call him and asked about my case. During the consultation, he asked me questions, gave suggestions and really made me feel at ease. He’s very personable and really seemed to care. I talked to a few other attorneys before I found him and he’s the only one who I felt treated me as a person who needed help and not just another defense case. My trial was a only a few days away and Mr. Shepherd was with me every step of the way, and even adjusted his schedule to be with me during trial! Without his help and expertise, I don’t know what I would’ve done. Mr. Shepherd is a great attorney and I highly recommend him to anyone. I would hire him again and again.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Every case is different and every case requires a different amount of work to resolve. For example, a Circuit Court Jury Trial for Homicide takes far more time to litigate than a Speeding Ticket. For that reason it's very difficult for me to estimate my fees without first speaking to you on the telephone or in person. What I absolutely guarantee is that my pricing is affordable, flexible in certain circumstances, and I always offer the option for a payment plan. Almost all of my criminal defense / traffic work is done on a flat fee basis, which means once you pay, that's it! I won't ever come back to you after the fact and say that you owe me more money.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first thing that we would need to do is to speak. You can always call me at the number listed above. I have convenient office locations in Catonsville and Columbia, or I can come to you. In the initial consultation, I will be able to assess what you need, develop a basic strategy, and quote you my fee. If you decide to hire me, I will immediately enter my appearance in your case, request discovery and begin working on your behalf to ensure the best outcome possible.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from Saint Mary's College of Maryland in 2011 with degrees in Economics and Sociology. Following Undergrad, I attended the University of Baltimore School of Law where I graduated with Honors in 2014. I am admitted to practice in all the State and Federal Courts of Maryland.
