They were nice. The quote was reasonable. However, they could not guarantee how I needed it installed to be able to continue using the basement for storage and to access it.

I hired MDM to do some maintenance and repair work on my chimney and fire chamber. For the exterior, they replaced the flashing, repaired the crown and loose mortar. For the fire chamber, they cleaned and parged.
It’s a little difficult for me to write about the quality of their work because I don’t really know much about maintaining fireplaces and chimneys. But the photos of the completed work looked good. They showed up when they said they would, which, in my experience is huge. When dealing with contractors. They worked all day, they cleaned up the mess and then they came back the next day and finished the job and cleaned up their mess again.
They were very friendly and professional and my dogs loved them. All in all, I was very satisfied and unless something alarming happens when I light my first fire of the season, I would definitely recommend them, and hire them again.

From the moment I requested a quote from MDM, they presented “quality”. Dean called me the same day and provided the process they used and answered any questions I had. When I decided to work with them, they continued to have great communication.
Mike showed up with an apprentice and was very personable and knowledgeable. They protected my house by wearing shoe covers and laying down floor protection. And they did great work in cleaning my fireplace and chimney and inspected it to show me any repairs needed. I’ve never owned a fireplace so I didn’t know how to use it or what the different parts were, outside of my own research. When I asked, Mike explained the different parts of the fireplace and chimney, and he showed me how to work it.
I’m very impressed with the professionalism and the quality of the work. I would definitely recommend them and plan to keep them on call for annual cleanings/inspections.

Arrived right on time, very competent , friendly. Showed photos of work in chimney, gave good advice for repair. Reasonable price for inspection and cleanup. Will use their services again and recommend to others.

There were many challenges on my duel chimney project and MDM's positive attitude was exceptional. I was impressed with how they kept everything clean using clean drop clothes every day. My job was scheduled for five days starting on a Monday but because of the challenges they had to come for five hours on Saturday to finish up. Everything was on schedule and explained as they progressed. It was a pleasure working with MDM and I would absolutely recommend MDM to anyone needing chimney work.
