Floortechs finished out hardwood floors so professionally that they truly look like new again once again. They carefully moved two heavy pieces of furniture with no additional charge. Best of all, they went the extra mile by filling a small gap between the flooring and wall, cutting a small peace of wood to do the job right. Simply amazing work. The moment I contacted Randy, the owner, I was impressed with his professionalism. He responded promptly and continued to reach out to me until we finalized the work to be done. His crew was prompt, efficient and most importantly knew what needed to be done and got it done quickly. I was under a time crunch so this was important. The floors were to be bleached and I wanted to ensure I hired someone who had done it before and knew how to achieve the result I was looking for. The floors turned out beautifully! We had spent about six months with other companies to try to get our floors refinished but we were unsuccessful until we found Floor Techs. Randy and his team were able to identify the wood -- kempas -- and make recommendations as to how best to refinish the floor. A few weeks later, everything was done. Randy's team was helpful and educated us about the process and next steps. Absolutely delighted with the experience.

The project to be completed:-Refinishing hardwood floors in the dining room, living room, hallway, 3 bedrooms and 2 hall closets-Installing 2 thresholds (1 between the bathroom and the hallway and another between the kitchen and dining room)-Installing baseboards in the dining area and installing shoe molding in all areas where hardwood will be refinished.The entire house is 988 SQ FT. When I called, to inquire about having my floors looked at, they were able to schedule a same day consultation and the project was scheduled to start roughly a week later. I was told it would take 3 days.The day of the project arrived, the crew showed up on time and started working. The next day, I was called and told the crew would be finished with the project that same day (day 2 -1 day earlier than scheduled). I arrived at the house and noticed that the baseboards had not been installed in the dining room as planned. I called and was told that it would be taken care of but that it had been left off the work order. I was also told that I was going to be kept updated but did not receive any further calls that day. The next day (once I was able to walk on the floors in socks), I arrived at the house and noticed that the threshold for the bathroom was not installed as planned. I immediately called and left a voicemail informing the company that the threshold had not been installed as I wanted and that I wanted to speak with someone about having it installed as planned. I also sent a text message containing the same information. It was the weekend so I wasnt expecting to be contacted until the following Monday. Monday arrives and I did not receive any calls or text messages. I called the company and no one answered the phone but I immediately received a text message stating that they were currently "with a customer" but that I would be called right back. 2 hours later, I still had not been called. I then replied to the text message inquiring when I would be called because I was waiting and wanted to discuss the issue. 30 minutes later I still had not received a call or reply to my text. I then called the company number again and was told that the project manager was out of town and would not be back in town until the following day. I was told that the threshold must have also been left off the work order I was then asked if it would be ok if they called me back the next day to discuss installing the threshold. The next day, I did not receive any calls or any messages as to why I hadnt been called.Overall, I think they did a great job on my floors, however, the fact that they did not fully complete the project as planned, they did not provide adequate customer service (because they did not call me back as they stated they would or even call me at all initially regarding my previous messages) and they did not come back to install the threshold as requested is the reason they received the 3 star rating shown.My advice is that if you want to use them, when the crew arrives, make sure to point out every little thing you want done or request to see the work order so that you can verify that everything was included. Also, my advice to the company is that when a customer calls you with an issue, respond to them and fix the issue instead of them repeatedly trying to get you to answer the phone and if you say you're going to call back then actually call the customer back otherwise it just looks unprofessional.Guess Ill be installing that threshold myself. I really wanted to leave them a 5 star review but based on the service I received, a 5 star review wasn't earned.*Update (5/19/22)* Regarding the below company response: Yes, they did try to contact me 5/19/22. I politely responded letting them know their services were no longer needed. As for when I requested the additional threshold, it was the day the crew arrived as soon as they arrived BEFORE they started working not while the project was "ongoing" Randy was the one I spoke with about adding the threshold. He was the one I had been communicating with the entire time.
