About

Each of my ceremonies is unique and personalized to the happy couple. We have fun creating the ceremony together and it shows. We are in the moment and enjoy all opportunities to express humor, as well as joy and awe on the big day. As I have always been considered unusual, this reflects in my services and valued by couples and their guests. My background as a Psychology major and years of advising students, clients and hands on healing adds to my ability to be there as needed. My agenda is to serve! The participation in the bonding of 2 loving people for a life time of mutual devotion and growth on this journey. I was married in 1960 and am a verbal and articulate advocate for marriage. My husband accompanies me, in a totally nonintrusive manner, and it is as if we renew our own vows at each wedding. What could be better?

Reverend Karen was our wedding officiant. She was fantastic! The first time we met with her to discuss our ceremony I knew she truly wanted our ceremony to be unique and special for us. She was very helpful with ideas and suggestions and we created a ceremony that was extremely meaningful and intimate. Reverend Karen did a fantastic job as our officiant, she made the most important part of our wedding ( the ceremony) absolutely wonderful - she spoke eloquently and our guests enjoyed her manner and delivery. We were so happy to be married by Reverend Karen Diamond.

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am also certified in the new field of coaching in Positive Psychology. My life experiences continue to enrich my abilities.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was doing Hands on Healing and felt as if I was in the hands of Spirit/Universe/G-d each time I was giving a treatment and needed a container for guidance. I met the head of The New Seminary at a seminar on Psychology and spiritual concerns. He was so impressive I investigated the seminary and as they say: the rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
It seems as if folks who like outdoor weddings find me. More than three quarters of my ceremonies are performed outdoors.This pursuit, for me. is an Affair of the heart. I do not support myself as a wedding officiant. I am an advocate for marriage. I was married in 1960. My parents were married, happily, for 70 years. I love joining loving couples together!
