Jabari arrive late with no communication as to his eta, even when I messaged there was no response.in no way was what he thinks is a lesson in anyway near comparable to any lesson we've ever had. He did not try to enquire more about my child or what books we had used on the past prior to the trial lesson. His trail was donation based but after mentioning we would not be going with his as a teacher he required payment. Essentially we were asked to pay him to have come into our home unprepared and with no books, no activities and a lack of understanding his student prior to attempting to teach. Not professional. Would not recommend for children

Details: Younger than 6 years old • Yes, the student can read music • 0 - 2 yrs of formal training • Classical • Yes, the student has a piano • 30 minutes • My home, venue, etc.

Jabari Anderson's Piano Music Lessons's reply
This woman was very rude who did not imply she had a problem during the session until the next day through a long rude text message. This was only suppose to be a thirty minute long trial meet and greet lesson where I get to know the student first, their needs, prior experience and their desires before we start our work which is what I did. She was truly an unruly client.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fee is on a monthly basis for lessons typically given once or twice a week. I charge $250 per month for an hourly lesson. I also charge $150 per month for a half hour lesson.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I usually set up a screening process to see how much the student understands piano and music. I typically allow a 30-minute trial lesson to gauge the student's capabilities. Second, once I gain an assessment, I build a lesson and personal development plan based on the student's level of understanding. Finally, I tailor my lessons on my student's goals and level of achievement they would like to obtain. I typically like to do lessons once a week, maybe twice if the student needs more practice.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As mentioned in my biography, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Piano Performance.
