Vijay was absolutely wonderful and a JOY to work with. He made our engagement photo shoot so easy and seamless. We were instantly comfortable with him and he made our photos so candid and genuine. I highly recommend him for his patience, attention to detail and quality of work!

Engagement Photography
Vijay is a consummate professional. He was extremely attentive and created a very comfortable atmosphere for my fiance and I. I spoke with Vijay on how I wanted to propose and he was very supportive in my plan and executed it flawlessly. He was on time and delivered a beautiful product. There are photographers that are good at taking photos but Vijay is the complete package. He is professional, responsive, dedicated, and most importantly an extremely nice person. I would recommend him for a surprise engagement shoot to anyone I know and any other photography project for that matter.

Headshot Photography
Vijay is an outstanding photographer whose technical skills are only surpassed by his interpersonal ability to elicit the confidence, joy and purpose that create iconic moments in his art. During the photo session, Vijay comfortably juxtaposed contrasting concepts to create a variety of emotions with varying color and lighting to create a compelling photo composition that surpassed even my highest expectation. And he he did all of in his characteristically warm, amiable and efficient manner.

Headshot Photography
I worked with Vijay to do professional headshots and would recommend him without hesitation. He listened to what I wanted (something a little more upscale and natural looking than the traditional posed studio 3/4 profile shot) and walked me through making it happen. Vijay is a great mix of competent and kind: he offers guidance to get the best look for the shot, is friendly and comfortable to be around so you can be relaxed and engaged rather than self-conscious. His raw photos look great, and then he works his magic to edit the ones you select for your finals.

Engagement Photography
Vijay went above and beyond what I could have hoped for. He was punctual, responsive, available , reasonable. This was me and fiancés first time taking professional photos and I felt completely at ease and it was surprisingly fun. He selected the perfect venue, the Jefferson Memorial. The quality of his pictures, his attention to detail, his willingness to get the correct lighting, poses, form, even when I didn’t understand why it mattered. (It mattered). He did his own research on which poses would be best and gave clear direction on how to pose (we are newbies). It is obvious that Vijay loves photography and truly cares about the client. You will not be disappointed.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is based on a individual need basis and is customized accordingly. The quote I provide is an estimate and will be refined based on understanding the specific needs of the request. It is inclusive of a session fee that could vary between $75 to $125 depending on various factors such as length of the session, members involved, distance etc. Also included are hi-res digital images provided via digital share or memory stick - the cost varies for these varies from $75 to $200 - depending on the number of edited images. I also provide the option of purchasing a individual image which usually turns out to be a more expensive but allows the customer to only pick what they like.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Once I am approached for an assignment I like to connect with the customer - in person or on the phone - to get a clear understanding of the requirements and expectations. If whatever reason I do not believe I am best suited for the job I am completely transparent about it with the customer - I believe it is the best interest for both parties since I am establishing a relation. If we mutually agree that I am appropriate person for the job, we go ahead and set up a time-slot and location for the shoot. From that point forward till the shoot I stay very engaged addressing any queries, providing suggestions on colors, locations and any additional information that is needed. More importantly I think this is necessary to establish a rapport with the people you are photographing - often that is the difference between a flat two dimensional image vs the personality. Post the shoot based on customer preference I provide a viewing gallery and allow them to pick the select number of images which I then work on and provide to the customer. My usual turnaround time is a quick preview image within 2 days and the rest within a week to 10 days. As a bonus - if there are additional images that the customer likes I offer them free in their unedited raw form
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a self-taught photographer who took to the camera as a way to connect with my creative side many years ago. One thing led to another and my hobby became my passion and passion turned to a part-time profession that I immensely enjoy. Of course, having said that I have constantly worked and pursued learning and improving my skills as far as the genre of my choice i.e people portaiture of all kinds is concerned, through a series of workshops and online courses - but really by working with people
