Bouk2Bouk responded to inquiries within a day and responses were definitive. Service was punctual. It began with our arrival at the appointed time. The studio was equipped to well suit my needs. Bouk2Bouk‘s owner runs the operation professionally and showed a great sense of the music during recording and post-recording production. Bouk2Bouk‘s rates are great value for its offered service.

After two failed attempts at having my "Birthday tribute" song mixed to what I deem "quality standards" I tried Bouk 2 Bouk as a last resort. Given Royce's reasonable hourly rate, I was a bit sceptical since my philosophy was "the more you spend, the more likely you are to recieve a quaility" Boy was I wrong! After contacting Royce regarding the project, he was very personable and engaging! He listened to the two previous mixes I obtained from other studios, and explained to me the cause's and reason's for the issues I had with the mixes. He assured me that he could produce the clarity and sound I was looking for. Apon meeting, he made me feel comfortable. Being a musician himself, he has quite an ear for sound production, and what may be best suited for the track. His mix was the BEST out of the 2 studios previously visted (of which I spent several hundred dollars collectively) and I am quite satisfied! He offered to tailor the track even more to my liking after I listened to it for a few days or so, (I tend to be a perfectionist at times) although time wouldn't permit on my end. All in all, I would DEFINITELY reccomend Bouk2Bouk. Royce is a good guy, knows his stuff, produces a quaility sound, and isn't satisfied until you are. Will DEFINITELY be back, should another project develop!

Royce is great. Believe me. Very knowledgeable about track composition and a great engineer. Working with him was not only fun, but I learned a lot. He is very open, honest, and fair. It is hard to find people who truly know what they are doing when it comes to completing a track, but his is very good.

Royce Booknight has a professional sound studio, an ear for what works best for my music in terms of arrangements, and knowledge of what sells in today’s music world. I enjoyed my sessions with him and plan to engage him again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge $35/hr. I always give my clients more service than they pay for. As stated before, I care about the project that I'm working on and I will dedicate time to a project that will not be invoiced to a client. I want my clients to return so I do my best for them.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with them or speak with them to get an idea of what they hope to accomplish. If they feel comfortable and want to move forward, then we take the next step which can be different in each case depending on the client's needs, desires, ability, deadlines, budget and schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i go to music workshops and conventions as well as read periodicals and view web tutorials regularly. I also communicate with other engineers to stay on top of what's going on. lastly, practice, practice, practice!
