My husband and I met Shauna December of 2025. From my first conversation with her, I felt comfortable and at ease. I knew she would be the right person to guide us along in the whole wedding planning process.
We hired Shauna for full coordination and planning in the eight months leading up to our wedding. We met with her biweekly to review our to do list, and she provided us with a plethora of vendors she’s worked with and resources. Even if we selected an outside vendor, she’d accompany us to our first meetings and ask the questions we may have neglected to ask.
She also recommended our officiant to us who also offered us pre-marital counseling and that greatly helped us along our journey. We just knew we were in good hands with Shauna.
As the wedding day approached, she readily always responded to whatever questions we had and made us feel confident moving forward. She executed all our wedding wishes and exceeded our expectations. On the day of our actual wedding, we couldn’t be happier with the final outcome and we owe much of it to Shauna and her level of excellence, planning, and execution. After consulting with Shauna and taking time to review both our experience and prior client feedback, I wanted to share a balanced perspective for future couples.
It’s very clear that Shauna is passionate about her work and that her team is hardworking, professional, and capable of delivering a successful wedding day. Many couples—including those whose reviews I read—ultimately had beautiful events and spoke highly of the team’s effort, demeanor, and overall execution. The strengths seem to consistently be personality, commitment, and willingness to step in and make things work.
That said, a recurring theme we noticed—both in our own communication and across multiple client reviews—was the importance of being very proactive as a client. Several experiences (including ours) highlighted moments where key details such as pricing components, timelines, staffing roles, or logistics were clarified later in the process or only after follow-up questions were asked. While nothing felt intentionally misleading, the approach appears to rely more on contracts and client follow-up rather than front-loaded, highly detailed communication.
For example, in our case, pricing evolved between initial inquiry and consultation, and certain details required clarification after we specifically asked. In reading other reviews, we noticed similar patterns related to communication pacing, handoffs between team members, timing constraints, and last-minute stress points—even when the overall outcome was positive.
To be clear, this is not a reflection of poor service or lack of effort. It’s more about fit and communication style. Couples who are organized, comfortable asking detailed questions early, and willing to stay closely involved will likely have a great experience. Couples who prefer very proactive, highly structured, and fully transparent communication upfront—without needing to prompt for details—may want to be especially clear about expectations from the start or explore planners whose style aligns more closely with that preference.
Overall, Shauna and her team seem capable, kind, and well-intentioned. My advice to future couples would be: ask questions early, confirm assumptions in writing, and make sure the communication style matches how you want to experience your planning process. Doing so will help ensure alignment and a smoother experience.
Shauna and her team were AMAZING!!! We hired them for day of coordination and it would not have gone so well without them! Communication was on point, they kept us on track and made sure all our DIY decor was set up nicely. They know what they are doing!!!A lot of our nerves were gone because we knew they had everything covered as far as the day of timeline ,set up and vendor arrival . They even made our plates when it was time to eat and made sure we ate without being disturbed. BEST COORDINATOR EVER !!

My pricing is competitive, transparent, and based on the level of coordination your wedding requires. While my rates may be lower than some wedding professionals, the quality of service is never compromised. I believe every couple deserves exceptional support, organization, and peace of mind without breaking the bank.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process begins with a consultation so I can get to know you as a couple, understand your wedding vision, and learn what matters most to you.
Once booked, I review your plans, vendor information, contracts, and wedding-day details. As your wedding approaches, I communicate with your vendors, create a detailed timeline, confirm logistics, and conduct the rehearsal when included.
On your wedding day, I manage the vendors, schedule, ceremony, reception, and any unexpected concerns behind the scenes. With 17 years of wedding planning experience and a professional background in management, I remain organized, calm, and prepared so you can relax and fully enjoy your celebration.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Wedding Planner through New Skills Academy (Certificate No. BD5S5OKF) with 17 years of experience planning and coordinating weddings and special events.
My experience includes corporate events, community fundraisers, walk-a-thons, anniversary and birthday celebrations, engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and baby showers. My professional background in management has also strengthened my organization, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail—all essential skills for successfully coordinating a wedding day.
