The remote option was convenient at the last minute, however, it did not go as smoothly as I expected. Several missteps happened along the way. The other signer was not provided the link in advance in order to preview the documents and upload identification prior to our meeting, which was needed to expedite the process. I requested two documents to be notarized, and did not realize until I received my invoice that the stamp was only affixed to one document. My invoice was sent to the secondary signer so I couldn’t get my documents until the invoice was paid. The notary paid the bill so that my documents could be released, which was helpful, and then she allowed me to pay her directly. I didn’t want to rate the experience poor, but it was less than average.

My pricing is pretty fair. I also work with the clients with the pricing depending on how many signers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get the basic information from my clients. What type of documents need to be notarized and what is your availability?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had to take the Maryland State notary exam and pass that before getting my commission. Also, before working on the Proof platform for remote notary, I had to take their training and pass their test. I also needed to get my E&O license to be active on the platform.
