Introduction: Unlike other trainers my main objective is for my clients to become independent. In order to be fit and remain fit you must to learn be self-motivated and take responsibility for your own health. If you do, your results will last a lifetime! What I like most about my job is helping people gain confidence in the gym and giving them the tools to make healthy food choices outside of the gym. Nothing gets me more excited than seeing a client realize that a healthy lifestyle was always within their grasp.

I’ve been working out with Tim for about a month now and I’m very pleased and impressed. I’ve had success with trainers in the past and I rank Tim among one of the better ones. He started our first session understanding my goals. He then put me through a quick workout to gauge my baseline workout level. His workouts are tailored to my individual needs and ability. With that said, his workouts are powerful, very creative and a lot of fun. I like to be pushed and Tim gives me motivation and encouragement during our sessions. I usually walk away from our 30 minutes sessions wondering how we accomplished so much and how he got so much out of me in such a short amount of time.

I have trained with Tim on and off for the past 5 years. He has helped me to reach the various goals I set for myself over the years . . . from increasing fitness level, losing weight, shaping my body and overcoming and preventing injury. He has always been professional, supportive and very motivating. I met Tim shortly after having my son and my goal was to return to pre-baby shape and fitness level. Tim helped me to meet the pre-baby shape goal and exceeded the fitness level goal I had set. The workouts were always challenging and motivating. Tim and I usually met twice a week for 30 minutes of high intensity interval training (I would warm up and cool down on my own). At this point my cardio endurance was low and he really helped me to increase it. After meeting my goal I was able to maintain our progress on my own at the gym using the knowledge I gained from my sessions with Tim. Two years later, I realized I was slipping on my own (I love to eat and drink red wine!) and contacted Tim to regain the shape and fitness level we had previously established. Tim assessed my fitness level and created workouts that met my needs. Tim is great at identifying areas of weakness and tailoring exercises to strengthen those areas. Our workouts were typically 30 minutes, twice a week. This time, Tim began incorporating a lot more weight training. After several months of working with Tim, I once again exceeded my goals and I was stronger and more fit than I had ever been. I was able to go back to working out on my own, using the workouts and information I had gained from him, and maintain my fitness level. I frequently have people commenting about the exercises I am doing in the gym . . . they are impressed and want to use them! When I returned to Body Pump, the instructor also commented on how my strength had increased! Just last year I contacted Tim again. After several injuries (not from working out) and ongoing treatment and physical therapy, I was very frustrated with my body. Tim listened, in detail, as I explained my injuries and the problems/pain I was having trying to workout on my own and participate in classes at the gym. Based on what he heard and saw me doing he created workouts that helped to correct improper techniques I was using (due to injury) and strengthen muscles to help prevent further injury. After working with a physical therapist 3 times a week for many months, I did not see any improvement. After working with Tim 2-3 times a week for just a few weeks, I saw huge improvement! Currently, Tim has once again helped me to reach my highest fitness level yet.

Tim comes to train me and my co-workers once a week. He has a way of making workouts really hard, but somehow, you don't realize it! He motivates us and makes us laugh - but he makes us work hard. He is aware of everyone's fitness levels and pushes us appropriately. Many of us have started saying, "Don't think about it - just do it" (a phrase you will become VERY familiar with if you work with Tim), in other aspects of our life!

Timothy is Arguably the best personal trainer in Columbia, MD area. I explained my fitness goals, and within the first few sessions, I could see results. Timothy explained clean eating, calorie intake along with proper fitness training. I lost more than 20 lbs, reducing my body fat and increase my muscle tone. I have met my fitness goals and very pleased with my results.
