FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge by the job, instead of by the hour. I've found that when people charge an hourly rate, you will likely end up paying more money in the long run! With me, you know what your project is going to cost from start to finish.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, once a client and I establish a line of communication, I will then setup an appointment to visit the place of work. Once I arrive, you will have an opportunity to meet me and I will assess the job proposal so I may write you a quote or give you an estimate on the spot. From there, if we haven't already come to an agreement, I will then email you a quote so that you have the necessary information to base your decision. If we agree, we can then discuss scheduling the work to be completed. On large jobs (2 days of work or more) I will take a 50% deposit down before I start to work. If it's a small job (1 day or less) I would perform the work and accept payment when the work has been completed to your satisfaction. My preferred method of communication is text messaging, although sometimes talking over the phone is more effective. Once you become one of my clients, you become family. So, whichever method you prefer is okay with me!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had years of on the job experience related to most trades in regards to construction. I've surrounded myself with people who know more than I do; this way of finding mentors has provided me with valuable experience and the knowledge to execute projects quickly and efficiently!
