I love the work Against the Grain & Co. did at our home! Jason was very patient in measuring and making a boring, narrow entryway/staircase/dining room into inviting spaces with precise molding that would rival the model home. The backsplash he installed in our kitchen turned out perfect. Jason took his time, and was very honest and professional while working on our projects. I would highly recommend Against the Grain & Co. for any projects you need done at your home.

Jason was an excellent creative collaborator and helped me bring my vision of built-ins in my dining room to life! The project needed to be budget friendly, and he didn’t shy away from my desire to use pre-built cabinets from a big box store as the base of the project. He was so precise in adding the finishes, and the end result was so high end!

We have used Against the Grain for several jobs. All were done expertly and in a timely manor. We’ve had a bay window refinished, a pergola built, a staircase detailed and numerous smaller jobs. All were done to perfection. I would highly recommend this company!!

Jason has done most of the work in my house ranging - built and hung shelves, installed a bathroom vanity, finish carpentry, hung cabinets, and other various handyman work. Jason is extremely professional, honest and does impeccable work. He sits down and talks through your project and design and often suggests better ideas (and often cheaper). He has an eye for design and is extremely talented and creative. Jason has a touch on everything complimented on my house - whether he did the work or made the suggestion. He also keeps your house very clean while working - doesn’t wear outside shoes inside the house, covers furniture with plastic to prevent any work dust on your furniture, vacuums and sweeps at the end of the workday and at the end of the project, he leaves the house cleaner than he arrived. I’m excited about coming up with my next project to collaborate with him.
