Outdoor Landscaping and Design
Overall, I like the work that was done to my yard. I just wanted a simple, clean, and low-maintenance garden as well as some lawn care services. David, the owner, offered great ideas and his prices were very reasonable. His staff showed up on time and worked efficiently and finished the job within a day. I'm very satisfied with the results.Jun 8, 2017

The service was excellent, and the landscaping was done very well and in a timely manner. David gave us a few suggestions we did not even think about, such as a fern garden for our boring back corner. Pro Lawn Care greatly improved the look of our backyard. We will definitely use them again.Dec 28, 2016Verified

We came to Pro Lawn Care with a loose idea of what we wanted done. I was able talk with David and together create a vision for our bug infested trash heap of a yard. The goal was to make a zero maintenance yard that reflected the beauty of a zen garden. In addition to the zen garden, I requested that they assist with some drainage issues and install a herring bone pavers patio under our deck. That idea resulted in adding a retaining wall to the severe slope of the yard. The results great. Dave and his site supervisor Nick worked very hard in creating our vision and addressing problems as they arose. Of the challenges that did occur, Dave and team communicated well and provided solutions. The job took a half day longer than forecasted but that was because they put the effort in to add an addition retaining wall to support the patio. All in all it was a good experience.May 8, 2019Verified
First, David is good about seeing a landscape and envisioning something creative that will look nice and be functional. But then his crew can execute his vision with precision! Loved what he did to my back yard. They put an extended blue stone porch outside of my screened sunroom. They also built a nice garden area with new walk way stones leading out to it and leveled the yard. Can't wait for the summer to take advantage of my new backyard!Mar 20, 2018
My experience with Pro Lawn Care was totally positive. I always hesitate to write a 5 star review because it sounds like I have an agenda, but in this case I can't rate it below 5 stars - it was everything you would ask for when contracting out a job. My job was small but David still took it on. He gave me a good plan and his crew was wonderful, professional and proud of their work. I did not expect my garden to look nearly as good as it does. Every detail from the largest to the smallest was handled with care and professionalism. They were a pleasure to work with all the way around and I am recommending them to friends and family!Aug 18, 2017
License Type: Licensed Fertilizer Application Businesses (MD)
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?1. They carry a MHIC license required to do this type of work 2. Their license is in good standing with the license holder, and not expired. Cross reference their license with the DLLR to make sure they’re not just saying they have one. Plenty of people do that. My license # is 5117207 3. They are a fully insured company (most importantly general liability and workers comp. I also carry an umbrella policy for an additional 2 million. Copies of my insurance declarations are included below). 3. Ratings and reviews are in my opinion just as important as licenses. I carry a perfect 5 star rating on Thumbtack.com, Porch.com, and on google reviews if you google “Pro Lawn Care, LLC Maryland” I’m 2 or 3 from the top. 4. Price is one of the last things you should look at. The best price is what so many people only pay attention to these days, but that “best price” will usually come with an inexperienced or non licensed/non insured contractor. A good price is only as good as the things above to back it. Please keep in mind I went to college specifically for this type of work, which very few people in the state do. I take great pride in my work to make sure every project looks perfect for the customer. Thanks for your consideration,
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I usually arrange a meeting time convenient with the customer, meet with them to suggest many different options, let them choose what they like best and try to work out a plan that fits their specific needs and budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I went to college for Horticulture/Landscape Design & Construction. I currently hold MHIC license # 110409. I am a knowledgeable Horticulturist, and a professional Landscape Designer. I regularly attend work shops for continuing education in my field, and have a thirst for any new knowledge having to do with landscaping. I know and utilize all the latest techniques taught in this field.
