Hired on Thumbtack
These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of the experience I had after hiring Fred to work on my new home in Baltimore City. Up until this point, I experienced seemingly honest folks on Thumbtack that ended up cutting corners or requesting me to be an active participant in them completing the work I hired them to do. Fred is punctual, faily priced, and a skilled builder of homes from start to finish which makes him an invaluable jack of all trades (plumbing, drywall, flooring and trim, HVAC knowledge, and more!). I hired him to repair the cracked grout in my bathroom and kitchen, repair the missing and cracked caulk around the baseboards, install quarterrounds throughout my home to fix the large spaces between the baseboards and floors, fix a misaligned window, install a bathroom vanity and sink to replace a non-working sink and a few other miscellaneous handyman tasks that required repair after poor installation from the original builder and botched repair attempts from other Thumbtack hires. Fred and Victoria are a great team and far exceeded my expectations. They communicated throughout the project keeping me informed of developments that might cost extra, and even offered some solutions that ended up saving money. With Fred and Victoria I can trust that I am receiving quality work that will last and they clean up as they go eliminating the need for later bulk trash removal. Together, they have redeemed my trust in finding true craftsmanship on Thumbtack. I will hire Fred time and time again for many of the other tasks to cross off on my growing to-do list inside and outside of my home. 100% recommend!! (Pics are before during and after the work one of the bathrooms. A simple regrout turned into discovery of a rotting subfloor and wall leak behind the toilet!)
