- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into this line of work by learning how to paint during earlier jobs. The more I painted the better I became and decided to put my self on Thumbtack to make finding the best jobs easier.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Primarily I do interior painting but almost as much by volume of hours spent, handyman work is a big part of what I has been hired to do.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently painted a set of interior stairs that were bare wood that were constructed poorly and consequently squeaked with every step taken. I put in several screws into each step, squeaking was reduced, another set of screws strategically placed - still some squeaks. A third attempt with more screws, some body filler, primer and paint - no squeaks and the stairs felt as good a they looked. It was a lot of unexpected work but as usual, worth it in the end.
