John is what is needed in your time of relationship turmoil. From the start he asks the tough questions, knowing you don't have the answers....yet. The session model allows you talk, investigate and digest many different avenues without the fear of time running out and interrupting the progress, discussion or healing that is needed. Would recommend to anyone serious about fixing their relationship and future.

John far exceeded what I thought counseling was going to be for my wife and I. Super-thankful for him! We couldn't be happier with our experience with him. He literally responded immediately to my Thumbtack request, and he provided me counseling for maybe 30 minutes during our first communication. When you reach out to a counselor, it's usually when things aren't going well, and it was surely nice to be able to talk at that moment. We had our first full session three days later. He was so easy for both of us to talk to, almost like talking to a friend and not a counselor. He made both of us feel very comfortable which made the experience even greater. He listened extremely well and took our concerns seriously and gave us some great advice which helped navigate our way to our tough time so quickly. In just a couple of weeks, our relationship was much stronger. John has a knack of how to explain where each person is coming from and how to approach conflict to navigate your way through a situation with greater ease. Thank you John for all your help. I highly recommend you contact John if you need help with your marital issues. He is the best!

I have tried many different counselors throughout the years to help me navigate through life’s challenges and every single one has the same format. They have you come in, talk to them about your challenges, they ask you how things make you feel and they tell you everything will be okay. You pay for an hour but only get 45 minutes of their time. You leave temporarily feeling hopeful for your life to change or things to feel better but they ultimately don’t.
John is the first counselor who takes the time to truly get to know you and your situation and asks what you expect to get out of the sessions and out of your relationship/marriage. His sessions are longer (2-3 hours) than the typical counselor and they are meant to help couples begin to unload their challenges and leave with some tangible actions to address the immediate pain you both are feeling after the first session.
John thoroughly explained that his approach is based on research and data. My husband and I went to John for several months and he was very clear about what successful couples do if they have any chance of having a healthy, thriving relationship. His approach was very methodical and we had some very intense sessions that allowed us to “unpack” all of the thoughts we had and how we were committed to do differently. The other benefits to John’s approach are the “homework”, articles and podcasts that he shares along the way to help you keep tips to a successful relationship top of mind.
I will certainly use John’s services again because he is extremely candid and uses a trusted method to build strong, healthy relationships.

I would just like to start out by saying John is a true asset to couples that are experiencing some difficulty in marriage. We only have met with him once and he has done so much to improve the health and quality of my marriage the things he do is so not traditional. We have been to many therapist and none have got close to what John has in one session. He's not the watch the clock read out of text book therapist he's a human with a heart first. very personable but tuff. I have never wrote a review for anyone in the health care field but this man is so exceptionally great at his passion to help couples he deserves this and more

I CHARGE BY THE SESSION NOT BY THE HOUR. Sessions last until the client feels better than they did when they first walked in. WE DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak separately to all parties involved before our first session. Clients feel most comfortable if they're not walking in cold.

In addition to my degree in Counseling Psychology and my life coach certification, I am trained in the"Gottman Method." Dr. Gottman and his wife are the leaders in the industry for Marriage and Relationship counseling.
