Hire this company!Chesapeake Carpet And Flooring is wonderful!!! it was time, past time!, to replace our family room carpet especially because we have always had dogs and cats. This company came to my home in a timely manner and took their time going through multiple options with me. I did not feel rushed. It was a very comfortable experience beginning to end. While they were here, I decided to update our original poor choice of vinyl flooring in the laundry room. Oh my goodness! I feel like I live in a whole new house!We chose the wide plank AzurXL Veranda engineered hardwood for the family room. Something about the wide planks and the blend of the color makes my tile choice from 2008 feel seamless and not as 2008ish as it did with the carpet. It looks and feels high-quality. I have real hardwood in my dining room/living room area, and this is up to par, given that. The way the new flooring changes color slightly in the morning, afternoon and evening light is absolutely gorgeous.We chose CORETec Lucent luxury vinyl planks for the laundry room. Beautiful! Again, the slight color changes with the changing natural light throughout the day are fantastic, and the blend with the rest of the upstairs is immaculate.The installers did such an amazing job! The way that they laid the flooring with consideration of the tile layout is superb. They were friendly, efficient, moved all of the furniture and washer and dryer! and obviously have a skill doing this work. Its been about a month since the install, and both floors are showing no signs of wear. These are high traffic areas, and everything looks like it was just done yesterday.FYI: I married the downstairs family room and the upstairs laundry room with the same area rugs: SAFAVIEH Hudson Shag Collection in ivory/beige. In the family room I did add a BAGAIL Felt and Natural Rubber Backing Rug Pads 1/4 Thick. These rugs are super thick and scrumptious under foot. I dont miss my carpet at all.I hope these before and after photos are helpful PS: I researched and reviewed several companies, got several quotes, and I am very happy with the price we paid

I was nervous about how the floors would come out and the price. Mike answered all my questions and concerns and the price was decent. I would 100% recommend them to anyone that needs floor work done. They patched this hole in the floor and you cant even tell where it was. Great team overall

We needed our basement floorreplaced asap, after it was ruined from a bad water heater. And we were under contract to sell.Mike was so quick to respond. He came out the next day to measure and show us our options. The entire floor was installed 2 days later. The whole process went so smoothly- we were very pleased.

We keep our pricing as low as we can, but also need to make enough to operate a business that can be trusted to back up their work for years to come.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule an in-home appointment that's convenient for them. Walk through the job and answer any questions, make suggestions based on our expertise, and provide a proposal. Whether we are hired or not, we will still continue to answer any questions and offer recommendations. if we are hired, then we will schedule the work around their schedule and make sure the job is complete to their, and our, satisfaction.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
my father was in the flooring business. He started refinishing floors in 1954... I started working with him in 1977.
