FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The restaurant business is usually not a career choice that someone makes like accounting because it is so difficult to succeed and requires a lot of startup capital. Most people I know, who do what I do, have a similar story-- someone close to them brought them into the business and over time it go into their blood and grew from there. Owning a restaurant or catering business is like being on a rollercoaster where the ride never ends.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
menu planning adapting for special dietary needs service cooking decorating setting up tents, tables chairs etc.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are those guys selling repackaged, processed foods. There are those guys selling the dog and pony show and there are those guys delivering real food for a fair price. We like to think that we fall into the third category. In other words, when choosing a caterer it is useful to look at price, quality and reputation. If you find a balance of all three you found a keeper.
