I would highly recommend Bill and Sunshine Grill Catering. We looked at many of the top caterers in Baltimore and Harford County and chose to go with Sunshine a Grille for our formal Cocktail/Christmas party with over 100 guest. The food was delicious and the presentation was upscale and unique. From the ahi tuna, smoked salmon to the cheesecake lollipops , everyone was raving about the food and service. Bill, his wife and chef were all very helpful and professional. They allowed me to enjoy our party with no worries and took care of everything the entire night. I will definitely use Bill again for small and large ,formal and informal parties. Regards K. Iannantuono

Dear Bill, Peter & I were very pleased with the baked brie, antipasto, Swedish meatballs, and the garlic aioli and Feta spread you prepared for us last Sunday. Everything was delicious, and it was provided in generous quantities! But beyond that, we are also very grateful for the helpful guidance you gave us in planning the rest of the menu. The bison burgers came out great – particularly with your spreads- and the field greens you suggested made for a much nicer presentation than regular iceberg lettuce. We so appreciate your gourmet sense, your eye for detail, and your desire to help us have a wonderful party! Thank you so much! Michele McConaughy

At the last moment we decided to have my daughter's baby shower catered. Bill and Effie did a wonderful job in pulling things together and creatively coming up with a menu that fit our needs. They took care of all aspects of the food preparation, setup and service which allowed us to enjoy the event without having to deal with the hassles. I would happily use them again.

Bill and Effie at the Sunshine Grille did a wonderful job catering my husband's 65th birthday celebration in our home! From set-up to clean-up everything was amazing…..all I had to do was entertain my guests! AND the food was outstanding! Bill was wonderful in describing the various appetizers and main dishes they offer as I had never experienced their food. The food was not only delicious, but unique…certainly not your typical catering menu! I was so delighted that I booked them for the very next weekend to cater my employee holiday party! Thank you both so much for making my events a success! Sincerely, Diane ~

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

The restaurant business is usually not a career choice that someone makes like accounting because it is so difficult to succeed and requires a lot of startup capital. Most people I know, who do what I do, have a similar story-- someone close to them brought them into the business and over time it go into their blood and grew from there. Owning a restaurant or catering business is like being on a rollercoaster where the ride never ends.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

menu planning adapting for special dietary needs service cooking decorating setting up tents, tables chairs etc.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There are those guys selling repackaged, processed foods. There are those guys selling the dog and pony show and there are those guys delivering real food for a fair price. We like to think that we fall into the third category. In other words, when choosing a caterer it is useful to look at price, quality and reputation. If you find a balance of all three you found a keeper.
