Introduction: My work stands out from others because I focus on getting to know The clients needs so I can create a sophisticated wedding or event that is filled with personal meaning. I think that is very important that a planner capture the clients reflection and not their own. My name is Jessica Scudder, I am a recent graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University. I know Ms. Michele personally and I've known her since I was real young. She does a fine job with planning events and she knows many people who can assist her in anything you may need. She did a fine job planning my college graduation dinner. It was amazing, at first I was unsure of what I wanted for the dinner and invitations but she did amazing at helping me think of ideas, and she always went along with what I wanted. She arrived ahead of time, was very impressed with the timing of everything, especially the event being held right after my graduation. I wanted black and gold decorations and a great food menu, dinner program, invitations and all, and she provided that through all the different businesses she knows and has contact with. Ms. Michele did an outstanding job in checking in with everyone, the other different businesses that assisted with my event, and working on my event. I had a great team, which assisted in everything, and worked together and I didn't have to worry about anything. Ms. Michele made such a small event, a huge successful event. She did amazing with the planning as far as what time, what day, the duration of the event, and the program that I had during the dinner for my guest. The decorations were so beautiful I wouldn't have thought it was just for a graduation dinner, that's how beautiful the room looked. She did amazing with the tables, for each table had many grad decorations and pictures of me and my favorite quotes and scriptures were on each table. She also had a coloring and numbering book with pictures of me, which she gave to all the kids, and there was a grad gift table, and another table where a huge graduation framed photo provided by Bird's Eye Photography, where my guests went and signed thoughtful wishes, congratulations and personal notes and quotes around my picture. The view of the room was amazing and the seating of my family, friends and guests was great, and the program was smooth, fast, and done within the time frame I wanted. The event was awesome and people still talk about my graduation dinner. I'm proud I had Ms. Michele plan and decorate everything. Her strengths are that she is friendly, creative, thoughtful, kind, very dedicated, and prompt in making sure that things were in order and that is was everything I wanted. She is very active, detailed, diligent, persistent, and overall just easy to work with. Her weaknesses- I can't really think of any, besides that she ask many questions, yet I am so glad and grateful that she did because I had no clue what I was doing and every question she asked me was for preparation for the event. When the event took place I had no worries, and no questions about this or that, everything fell right into place and went according to. Everything was smooth, and Ms. Michele always checked in with me to see if I was okay and pleased with things, it was just unbelievable. I plan to use her services and all the other services in the near future, especially if I need to plan birthday dinners, parties, my wedding, or anything.

I was searching for a Wedding Coordinator about 2 months before my wedding, October 4, 2014 because I realized I just could not do it by myself. I read prior reviews on Ms. Michele Alford and I instantly felt that she was the "one". Since my initial conversation with Michele concerning my wedding I felt assured, less stressed, and if I was working with a friend. She actually worked beyond expectations. Ms. Michele created a beautiful décor and was very professional and organized with her work. Everyone at my wedding gave compliments on how well the event took place and how beautiful the decorations were. I can never thank you enough Michele on the outstanding job you did for our wedding.

The owner, Michele and her staff coordinated, decorated, hired outside vendors and hosted my TuTu Cute Baby Shower Theme. She incorporated every aspect of my baby shower that I requested all the way down to the wing sauce provided by the caterer (I was addicted to honey bar-b-que sauce during my pregnancy) and my all time favorite spinach dip. When I stepped into the room for my baby shower the decorations were just fabulous - Even the layout was suited for the location (she booked that too). Let me just say that the Staff at Skyi Unlimited Events truly have a passion for event planning. The owner, Michelle is very thorough from start to finish of the entire process. She is very organized, detail oriented and by far the best communicator I have come across when planning an event. Not only does she provide a professional demeanor, but that close nit feel that I was looking for. The cupcakes!!!! So Yummy... People are still talking about them and my daughter is now a year old - that speaks volumes. If you are wanting something specific or not quite sure what you what Skyi Unlimited Events will get the job done. If you can, check out her website, go see the handmade doll sized tutu dresses placed on the tables as centerpieces (on risers draped in satin) - NOT one of them alike. Check this out, I was even able to use them as keepsakes (currently displayed in my daughters room) and party favors (my girlfriends were practically fighting over them). She used quality linens and decor, in which she provided through her relationship with vendors (Cake, Decor, Caterers, desserts, ) and competitive rates. Look No Further.... Michelle was wonderful. She was a calming influence on me, which isn't an easy task. The flowers she did were gorgeous as were the centerpieces, the linens, the bows on the chairs, and the complete set-up. She was able to match the type and style of invitations that I asked for. The fact that everything went smoothly indicates how well she handles things. I didn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day except having marrying my best friend and having fun.

Skyi Unlimited Events coordinated my wedding that was held on May 28, 2011. They did most of the planning and kept our busy timeline running smoothly. The quality of service I have received was outstanding and personal. They worked flawlessly with the vendors which was amazing since my wedding was out of state. They are exceptional workers; my husband and I were very satisfied with the work they done. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning an event.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Event planning is not just a job for me, I love it. It is my professional calling and I started early. I starting my training about 15 years ago by helping family and friends plan their events. This helped me see my calling and witness the finer points of wedding organization and planning events. I coordinated several weddings and birthday parties, and two years later I opened up a business with a co-partner, and in April of 2014, I decided to go out on my own and that is how Skyi Unlimited Events came into play. And that is how I got into this line of work. My favorite line is The Possibilities are Endless with Skyi Unlimited Events.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Not only I am an event planner but I also have Floral & Decor Design skills. Each wedding from 2009 - 2014, I have created bouquets and boutonnieres, card boxes, ceremony arrangements for altars, arches, and pews, as well as reception centerpieces.
