Darrin Knode is amazing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking with him. As we will from here on out.We booked with Darrin for my girlfriends Surprise birthday party and he did a phenomenal job. He is very professional and amazing over all. He was there early to be ready for the surprise shots, which he requested we should do. (So he was giving us pointers etc.) He handles himself as well as everything very professional, all the way down to the Dress code. He did amazing with the candids which I would this would be harder to do. We are absolutely blown away! The photos are truly incredible, and he did such an amazing job capturing our day & night. We honestly couldnt have asked for anything better. Every single photo feels so natural and perfectly captures the moments, emotions, and memories from the night.We also love how everything was organized and categorized, when he finalized and sent the photos back to us. Which he edited and got back within days. In all honesty he got us the photos back the fastest weve ever gotten photos back. It made going through the photos so easy, and there are so many incredible shots that its honestly hard to pick favorites. The quality, attention to detail, and way he captured everything were beyond what we expected. I truly, truly, deeply appreciate everything he did for us. He went above and beyond in every way, and it shows in the final product.(Also hes very responsive and knowledgeable in his craft and was great with communication through out this whole process starting from the booking and everything in between leading up to the party, as well as after the party and keeping us updated with EVERYTHING)Darrin didnt just take picture, he captured memories that well be able to look back on and cherish forever! Darrin was great he responded to my request right on time. he asked the right questions to accommodate our event and even gave me pointers on how to have the backdrops set up. If I had any questions he responded quickly! He quoted us a great price that was in our budget! He asked what the dress code was, when he arrived to the event he looked great and matched us perfectly! He was very friendly with all of our guests EVERYONE said he was great! He fit in so well with us he is welcome to come to any event we have off the clock! He went above and beyond for us and we All Appreciate him! We are so excited to see the pictures! Even though all his editing he has been in communication with me! I know the pictures are going to be beautiful! Im sure I will have to write another review when we see them. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard event rate is $225 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Short-form video, additional coverage, a second photographer, expedited delivery, and long-distance travel can be added as needed. You will receive a clear project total before booking.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a short conversation about your event, schedule, priorities, and intended use for the content. I then confirm the coverage plan and deliverables. On the event day, I capture the essential moments along with candid interactions, details, and atmosphere. Afterward, I professionally edit everything and deliver the finished photos or videos digitally.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background includes nearly 20 years of professional visual design experience, which developed my eye for composition, storytelling, branding, and detail. I have expanded that foundation through hands-on photography, lighting, video production, audio recording, and post-production work.
