FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates start at $55/hour for things like furniture assembly and general household repairs/support. Hands-on DIY coaching and tool tutorials start at $65/hour. I also offer discounted half-day and full-day bookings for larger projects. I'm happy to provide flat-rate quotes for specific projects, and I encourage clients to bundle smaller tasks to make the most of our time together.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we'll check in on what you've gotten yourself into, or what you need to get handled. We'll figure out what tools, materials, and time we'll need, and whether you'd prefer me to just get it off your plate or work alongside you so you can learn. My goal is to make the whole experience comfortable, collaborative, and empowering.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Millennial eldest daughter from an Irish Catholic household. (IYKYK) but also former farm hand, forestry assistant, and perpetually hyper-independent single mama. I'm a lifelong DIY-er and hands-on problem solver who loves figuring out how things work. My professional background includes years of project management, training, and mentoring, so I'm good at breaking down complicated tasks into manageable steps and explaining them without making you feel stupid. Practical skills are learned by doing, and that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn without feeling intimidated or talked down to.
