Nice to meet you! I am an English Instructor, Writer, and Tutor with 13 years of experience working in the public schools here in Maryland (MCPS). I have worked with students of all ages, K-12 though I'm currently working with high school students at "one of the W schools."

I offer tutoring services in On-Grade-Level, Honors, and Special Education classes (both reading and writing) as well as AP level courses: AP Language and Composition ("AP Lang") and AP Literature ("AP Lit").

I have a dual degree in Communication and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I graduated with high honors in 1986.
Prior to working as an educator, I worked in corporate America for many years as a Mediator. As a result of my experiences as a Mediator, I am an expert in conflict resolution, close reading, precise writing, and active listening.
I am married with two wonderful adult children and a wonderful dog named Ella.
