Salesman called in advance to request to come sooner and I agreed. The weather conditions were snow with light flurries. Salesman informed me that he had been involved in a recent accident as he was walking with a cane. He inquired about the age of the roof which I did not know. In response, proceeded to tell me that he was going to right me a “blanket” quote for my insurance company. I told him that they should be out the next day. He then went to the car to retrieve a blank contract. He proceeded to complete it, emailed me a blanket quote of $16000, advised me to wait until the insurance adjuster gives me a quote to call him (I guess to hear what they had to say), informed to provide his information to the adjuster because the adjuster will not want to talk to me and he will negotiate a price on my behalf. The appointment was so quick and weird, I am honestly wondering if this is really how business is done nowadays. I don’t feel like I was properly explained the process.
