Being that we are new to the east coast, Sheila helped us choose the photo shoot location that included the scenery we desired for our backdrop. Roosevelt Island offered everything we had hoped for and more! Sheila arrived at the location prior to our shoot. She even advised us as to where to park and actually helped us find a spot! We had expected the shoot to last about 1.5 hours and that's about all it took. I felt that she was very conscientious and respectful of our time while making sure we got to all the spots in the park that we wanted to see. Sheila's easing going personality allowed us to feel at ease, resulting in her capturing our true essence! (no fake or strained smiles). Our pictures turned out fabulous! Additionally, during the proofing/editing process, Sheila was very responsive and professional. I had my edited proofs within a week! I was hoping to get my pictures before the holidays and with such time constraints, I didn't think it would be possible. Sheila made it possible not only with her expedient editing turn-around time, but by rushing the final printing process. Once I paid for my pictures, I had them in 2-3 days. I was very impressed with the quality of the final product. I'm not a very easy sell either! We will certainly employ Sheila's professional services for all our photographic needs. We highly recommend Mrs. Guevin.

I absolutely LOVE all of the photographs Sheila has taken of our baby girl and family. She started off by taking newborn pictures for us & has continued to capture all our daughters major milestones throughout her entire first year. I highly recommend her, she has an amazing eye and great personality!!

Sheila is a joy to work with. She is very patient and flexible with her time. She does whatever it takes to create the best atmosphere for the perfect photo shoot. FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BS from Murray State University in Kentucky in Radio and Television with a minor in Advertising. Am experienced in both video and photography.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been taking photographs for more than 20 years, while balancing a "day job". During that time, I published in small newspapers and business newsletters. I took on small jobs for families that could not afford a working professional photographer and weddings for couples on less than a budget. At one wedding, I was photographer and witness to a young couple looking to get married before the groom deployed. After moving to DC, I finally had the opportunity to pursue this passion as my full time position.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I love unique projects and especially enjoy working with other artists such as musicians, writers and other photographers.
