I have used Handy P (Imam) for more than 6 big projects at this point (and smaller ones), ranging from smaller repairs to major renovations, and there is genuinely no one else I would use. If Imam isnt available when I need something done, I would rather wait until he is than hire another contractor. He has worked on an Arlington, VA home and Falls Church, VA home for us.Imam is honest, responsive, extremely fair with his pricing, and, above all, METICULOUS. He takes an incredible amount of pride in the quality of his work, and you can see that same standard in the way he leads his entire team. There have been times when something looked perfectly fine to me, but Imam noticed a detail he wasnt satisfied with and had his team redo it. He notices things I would never notice and holds his team to an incredibly high standard. He doesnt just want to finish a job and move onhe wants to leave you with something he is genuinely proud to put his name on.He is also, without question, the cleanest contractor I have ever worked with. From the moment his team arrives until they leave, they are incredibly respectful of your home. They clean up after themselves every single day and dont leave tools, debris, or construction mess sitting around your space. Even during larger projects, I never felt like my house had been taken over by a construction crew.Over the years, Imam and his team have done an enormous variety of work for me. He has fixed leaks, repaired and completely replaced plumbing rather than relying on temporary fixes, installed recessed lighting, updated a bathroom, repaired uneven walls and flooring, worked on doors and locks, painted, installed new drop-ceiling tiles, and transformed a basement into a much brighter and more livable space. His team is incredibly versatilethey have handled carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical work, leveling, painting, and just about every home repair or improvement I have thrown at them.One of the recent project he completed for us was completely redoing our three-season patio and front stoops. The old surface was covered with a felt/carpet-like material that had to be removed, and underneath it the concrete needed a significant amount of preparation before it could be finished properly. Imams team spent DAYS just scraping away the old material and concrete remnants, leveling and smoothing the surface, and making sure everything was properly prepared before applying the epoxy. They did not rush through the part no one would eventually see just to get to the finished product faster.The result was a dramatic transformation. The patio and stoops looked completely different, the old dog odor from the carpet was finally gone, and the entire area felt clean and refreshed. The basement work had the same effectit went from feeling dark and unfinished to bright, clean, and genuinely welcoming.Another reason I continue to use Imam is that he listens to what YOU actually want. He doesnt simply tell you how he wants to do a project. He explains the pros and cons of different approaches, points out potential risks before you make a decision, gives you alternatives, and is upfront about pricingespecially if you tell him you are working within a particular budget. I never feel pressured into choosing the most expensive option.He also communicates throughout the entire project. He checks in on progress, sends updates/videos unprompted, makes sure you are happy with how things are turning out, and addresses questions along the way so there are no surprises at the end.After more than six projects together, I trust Imam with my home. Finding a contractor who is skilled is one thing; finding someone who is skilled, honest, fair, communicative, exceptionally clean, respectful of your space, and who genuinely cares about the quality of the finished product is another.I cannot recommend Imam and his team highly enough. There is a reason I keep calling him backand why, if he is booked, Ill wait. We are about to ask for new electrical upgrades next.

I had an excellent experience with this company. They painted my house and removed and replaced the flooring, and the quality of their work was outstanding. The team was polite, professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire project. They used high-quality materials, completed the work on schedule, and always arrived on time.
