Hello families! My name is Lori and I am a certified elementary teacher with 12 years of teaching experience. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and a teaching English as a Second Language certificate. I have taught math, reading, writing and more to grades 3-5 in both public and private schools. I have tutored students as young as preschool up to 6th grade, both in person and online.
Over the years, I have seen the power of 1:1 support for students who need extra help. Students who receive tutoring show improvement in the classroom. Prior students of mine have shown growth in their reading comprehension, reading fluency, and various forms of writing.
Students have been able to master math skills such as multiplication, division, fractions, addition, subtraction, and more.
I enjoy making connections with the students I teach. I create fun and engaging lessons that are centered around your child’s needs! I genuinely enjoy being creative, supporting student growth and encouraging them. I have a very welcoming and kind demeanor, and I connect with children well.
