What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There are always new little additions and new meaningful rituals, the Traditional Celtic Handfasting, The Sand Ceremony, The Unity Candle ... what ever the couple wants to include. I teach workshops, and I attend them often.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been pulled to the ministry, I just wish I could do it full time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Custom weddings, from 1 hour duration with "high church" ceremony and pomp, to the intimate 30 minute simple ceremony.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was able to write a ceremony for a truly ecumenical wedding. The groom was an Atheist, the bride was Pagan, the groom's family was Jewish, and the bride's family was Southern Baptist. It went exceptionally well, and turned out beautifully, and everyone was pleased.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Think about what you want YOUR wedding to look like, and work with the minister to get it just right. Whether you have a formal rehearsal or not, you will end up with a rehearsal ... it just might be last minute instructions to wait for a cue or stand over there.
