FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For consulting work, my fee is determined after talking to a potential client. Sometimes I can offer a flat rate for a particular job/goal. My work is of the highest quality (it has to be, to be accepted by The Smithsonian Associates), so I do not decide to take on a client on price alone..
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I consult with them. We find out if working together will work well or not. I listen carefully to what a client wants. Then I come up with a proposal (sometimes more than 1) and the client and I go over them. We tweak the proposal to our exact liking, sign a contract, and start working!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained at IAHP, or the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia. Because of my work in creating programs for children that optimize brain development (memory, recall, faster thinking) I was recognized and awarded 16credits from University of MD University College. I continue to use my knowledge and experience of optimizing brain development in the work I do in consulting, speaking, design, writing, editing, tutoring, and creation of awesome summer camps and after-school programs. I worked over 9 summers for The Smithsonian Associates, MD Science Center, and private companies. I am an affiliate of and speaker at The Amen Clinic in Reston, VA. Dr.Amen does amazing work with kids and adults who have learning issues, ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, even brain injury.
