I had an urgent request for a plumber, as my regular plumber had not responded for a few weeks after my pipes had burst. As soon as I hit request on Thumbtack, I received a call and message from Dama. I explained the situation (pipe burst/ temporary fix of existing pipe capped off/repair requested) thinking that the whole pipeline in my basement needed to be replaced. I thought I would ask for a quote, and surprisingly he had availability right away (would take about 30 minutes) He was personable, kind, and asked to take a look at all the exposed pipes/problem areas. He educated me in that I didn’t need to replace the entire pipe system (although I could because it’s ancient), and what I thought was leaking coming from the copper pipes was actually condensation during cold weather/heater/insulation (think Statue of Liberty being green) The actual repair that needed to be done was minimal, was done in less than 2 hours (including our chat) and he provided me info on his business license, guaranteed work for 30 days, fixed the kitchen pipe access, and saved me a lot of money. That in itself, along with his kind honesty, options on repair vs replace, and he educated me without belittling me (an experience I have had as a woman) helped me out greatly. This may be a long winded review, but in this process of getting repair work completed after a basement flood has been an ordeal, and a prompt, professional, and detailed explanation service was so refreshing. I 100% am glad I was able to find this company on Thumbtack , and will use them on my other rental properties.
