We recently hired this licensed contractor to replace our old 10x15 wooden deck with a stunning 20x30 deck, complete with an octagon bump out and a 12x6 bump out. I had 3 contractors lined up to give me an estimate, two of them from the Thumbtack app. Jose communicated quickly and showed up on time to give me an estimate. The other contractor from this app never showed or called and Jose beat the third contractor by $7k on his estimate. After the demo of the surface boards on my deck they found that most of the deck framing was rotted so we made a decision to replace the whole thing. His crew communicated with questions and offered suggestions when completing the work. The deck was done when they said it would be and the 3 small cosmetic concerns that I found when doing a final inspection were corrected the next day. When Jose came out for the final payment I had him quote me the replacement of the screening and new PVC framing on my screened in deck as well as building a sliding barn door for the underside storage below the screened in deck. They start that job next Tuesday. Great guy to work with.
