Rayna DuBose shared her story of overcoming Meningococcal disease during a presentation at our 2015 Pennsylvania Immunization Conference. The 300 attendees were captivated not only by her story, but by her ease of telling that story to the audience. Her story underscores the importance of prevention (not sharing water bottles among team members), receiving recommended immunizations (especially meningococcal vaccine), and knowing the signs and symptoms of meningococcal disease in order to expedite treatment. I don't know where this gal's motivation comes from, but she is motivated, and will motivate any group she works with! She is the ultimate sportsman - someone who continues to work hard every day to make a difference in every individual she meets. I know we will be working together more in the future!
