Sammy Huh is an outstanding music instructor with a true love for music and a desire to assist his clients with meeting their goals. Sammy has awesome patience with a keen ear to listen to what his clients seek in their music goals; listening to the current skill level and method and assessing practice lessons during the session and comparing homework assignments during next sessions to help meet the notes needed to support owning the piece. He is a wonderful instructor with an easy going smile, very friendly, courteous and highly professional. Sammy takes music to heart, personally participating in several performances and choirs (he can sing and he provides vocal lessons!). Sammy is an instructor you want to work with. I'm glad he is my piano instructor. I have learned a lot from him and thank him very much for his wonderful patience as I grow in my piano study.

Let’s start with a question I asked Sammy during one of my lessons, I asked if he enjoys performing or teaching more. He responded with I have been performing for over 10 years at some point you get burnt out but the reward of seeing students improve over time is greater than any performance good ever be. Sammy’s teaching style is a comfort first approach rather than most teachers who throw techniques and theory at you immediately. He likes to gauge and range where you are at so he can build on your foundations. Without speaking about his credentials as graduate from Juilliard or other accolades, he wants to advance his students to their full abilities. His goals are to meet your goals and help you discover them. He likes to connect with his students and explore their creativity as well. The most beneficial part of Sammy’s lessons is he allows you to record them to play them back to practice throughout the week.

I am a singer and I have studied music for years. Sammy impressed me right away. He listened to my needs and immediately gave suggestions and exercises for my voice. English is not my first language, but he understood me and communicated very clearly. I couldn't be more satisfied!
